I would not do that. Just try to close the lid and turn on the burner for a while, so that all the garbage that it burns. then some crickets () after cooling and washed with soapy water and cloth.
EV Yes.I even with a pressure washer. Just be sure to let dry before continuing. A day in the sun to dry everything.
Yes .... I treat down the burner, with foil to keep water out. We never had any problems with my grill is 4 years. I Lite and let it burn moisture.
