Carboplatin Chemotherapy Carboplatin Chemotherapy For Ovarian Cancer? Better To Have It? Or Best NOT?

Carboplatin chemotherapy for ovarian cancer? Better to have it? Or best NOT? - carboplatin chemotherapy

An old friend of my father is from the shock - is to listen, and discover something contradictory - it is very difficult for dad after all, what does not listen and cares so much, can work as we help you? Who knows what is best? All this seems so complicated when it explains everything, but it must make a decision, and needs help - of course their old closest friends --

Any tips?

Cancer drug is often a question of the best estimate we can do.
Data from several studies are often contradictory
- And no two people with all types of cancer are the same.
There is a degree of speculation in art and medicine - especially in oncology.

As Stephen said, the information you can hardly walk.
We do not know the stage of disease the person or even at his age.
It would be unusual to recommend to carboplatin alone.
There are missing a huge amount of information.

Therefore, long discussions - often a good time in my experience - also a medical oncologist and patient - is required in this specialized area. There are many pros and cons to consider.

Family members concerned should be present at these talks take place. Patients can almost never complicated of all the details.

Many of my patients for me are in the final - that was fine with me. Cancer chemotherapy is my specialty, and tries to give each patient wHat, if I in the same situation.

I am not saying that electricians, plumbers, car mechanics, repair, computer to person or persons who do their job - because they know these things. Yes, I know that health care is more important than personal and car repairs, but I do not think that a mechanic has me all about the transmission begins before it for me.

Stranger in a way that the pressure on patients to decide their own treatment. In the United States, are often complaints. Patients are required to take responsibility for what they have to decide which treatment - what are the consequences fall on them. That does not bother me to make these decisions, and have never been prosecuted. What is an anxiety - are in trouble, as you say - the person, the clinical decisions about their care to make - carry out a medical specialty that requires 13 years of higher education is. How can you learn all the entries and exits in an hour of debate? - - Under the assumption that physicians continue to spend an hour to carefully explain all treatment options. There are so many options these days that the patients and their families are often confused.

A fair question to ask this person to your oncologist: "What would you do if you or your wife / mother / sister?. Many people have told me that for years.

Hello Pretty WHERE:
To do or not do chemo chemotherapy is a matter of time before the
Doctor and patient. For some other work and other drugs
Radiation and some of us the use of chemotherapy.
I have a lot of chemotherapy in the last 5 years. But they have also
Radiation, so is my best advice is to talk with your doctor and know the risks and
Options. Currently I have buttons on the back of the neck of chemotherapy
but it is one of the side effects. And I know it will be better. You
must take a firm determination to win against the monster.

There are many factors to consider, here you should all be discussed with her oncologist.

Things like the risk of relapse with or without chemotherapy.
Side effects of chemotherapy.

I had carbo platen, hair loss took some getting used to, and fatigue was difficult to handle, but it was as bad as the side effects are.
6 weeks after cessation of treatment, the hair is (it seems he had a new haircut) and my life back in order. After almost 5 years ago I'm fit and healthy.

Without carbo platen I had about a 80% chance that would be so much to have.

For me, no doubt, had chemotherapy. She was still too much life.

When I returned, I could consider, on the basis of risk analysis, at the time.

It needs a good oncologist Takla. It is not possible to give a clear answer because the information is not enough.
